Real Madrid are set to start ‘communications’ over a potential deal for Manchester United ace Paul Pogba
According to AS (h/t Sport Witness), Real Madrid are ready to start ‘fluid communications’ with four of their 2022 summer transfer targets, including Manchester United star Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman, who will be out of contract next year and available to clubs on a free transfer, is already being ‘monitored’ by Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The European heavyweights are eyeing a move for the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Paul Pogba, Erling Haaland, and Robert Lewandowski, although it is said that not all four will be signed by the La Liga club.
Pogba, who has refused a contract extension at United previously, holds great value to any club that signs him. This is because the 28-year-old star is only behind PSG superstar Lionel Messi and United clubmate Cristiano Ronaldo in ‘generating more money in football’ through his various endorsements, as per a Forbes report that was pointed out by AS (h/t Sport Witness).
The French superstar is deemed to be a player who generates an economic return, a profile Madrid boss Florentino Perez appreciates.
The midfielder was also touted for a move to the Spanish capital two years, but a move failed to materialize and Pogba stayed at the club. However, Madrid are now set to start ‘fluid communications’ with Pogba’s representatives to ‘advance any type of eventuality’, as per AS (h/t Sport Witness).

This would be a blow to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who would be hoping to keep his midfielder at the club beyond next season, especially after his incredible start to the current season.
Regardless, a deal might not even happen as there is a disagreement between Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, and Florentino Perez which ‘lasts’ till today. Thus, it remains to be seen where the 28-year-old’s future lies beyond next summer.
