Solskjaer and Woodward to hold a meeting regarding Manchester United transfer targets
Speaking on the Here We Go podcast, reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that a key meeting between Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward regarding the Manchester United summer transfer business is imminent.
The Red Devils’ season came to an anticlimatic end following our Europa League final loss against Villarreal. With the season done and dusted, focus will now shirt to recruitment ahead of the 2021/22 season.
According to Romano, Solskajer will meet the club executives to dicuss the players we will be targetting this summer.
“Immediately after the final there is a meeting scheduled between the executive of the club and Ole to decide together about targets.”
Romano went on to add that one should keep an eye on United’s pursuit of Jadon Sancho. It is no secret that the Red Devils are keen on the English international.
The 21-year-old is available for a cut price deal worth £77.5m this summer. While United are yet to make an offer, they are still in the running.
Sancho has enjoyed a fine four-year spell with Dortmund since moving from Manchester City in 2017. He has a gentleman’s agreement to depart the club this season and appears to be keen to exercise it.
The 21-year-old was Solskjaer’s top target this summer and the club is keen to land him. Whether we do remains to be seen.

Sancho is a potential match-winner who can turn into a key player for us for years to come. At 21 he is already one of the most devastating wide men in the game and it is scary as to just what he could evolve into.
The Europa League final revealed the lack of gamechangers we have in the squad. It is imperative that we address this issue at the first drop of the hat and do not turn it into yet another saga.
