Transfer News: Manchester United inquire about Dusan Vlahovic
According to transfer news from Sport Witness, Manchester United have sounded out about the availability of Dusan Vlahovic. The Fiorentina striker is seen as a viable alternative to Harry Kane and clubs like United, City, Liverpool and Real Madrid have all asked about the player.
The 21-year-old Serbian has caught the fancy of United with a number of inspired performances for La Viola. He joined the Italians from Partizan in 2018 and has since made 83 appearances, scoring 29 goals and four assists.
Fiorentina are currently in a disappointing 14th position in the Italian top flight. The lone bright spot has been Vlahovic. With 21 goals and two assists in 36 appearances, he has really come into his own this season.
Despite renewing Edinson Cavani’s deal, Manchester United are still searching for a long term striker solution.
Harry Kane has represented them with an opportunity after claiming that he wants to leave Spurs. However, should a deal fail to materialise, United have kept Dusan Vlahovic’s name in the hat.
The youngster’s potential is now clear for all to see and Fiorentina is keen to keep hold of their prized possession. However, there is a growing belief that they could lose him next season. A staggering €60m transfer for the Serbian striker could be expected.

Vlahovic is still very much in the early stages of his career but has shown potential. Fiorentina are keen on holding on to him but given the amount of interest, it will be interesting to see if he stays in Florence beyond this season. He could prove to be a shrewd piece of business in case the Kane deal falls flat.
