Transfer News: Manchester United looking to lure Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman
A report by German outlet BILD (h/t Sport Witness) claims that Manchester United are trying to lure Bayern Munich forward Kingsley Coman by offering him the wages that he wants.
The paper mentions that Coman ‘threatens a new case of David Alaba’ at the club. The Austrian defender’s high wage demand led to negotiations being closed with Bayern.
He is now expected to leave in the summer as a free agent. And Kingsley Coman can soon threaten the club in a similar way, with the Frenchman reportedly unhappy with his £12million wages in gross income.
United are willing to offer Coman £12million in net income, which means that he will get that amount per year from the club after tax deductions. The 24-year-old is currently tied to a deal that expires in the summer of 2023.
Coman on the radar
And hence, there is ‘still time’ for Bayern to deal with the situation. Nevertheless, the quoted sum seems worth it considering the struggles United have had over the years on the right-wing position.
Coman can play on both wings and is a proven winger, with clubs like PSG, Bayern Munich, and Juventus already on his CV. It remains to be seen if United actually formalize their interest in the French international.
But if they do, he would be a blockbuster signing for the club. United signed Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo in the past year, with both teenagers being natural right-wingers.
However, they are still inexperienced and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems like he needs immediate solution on the flanks, especially on the right-hand side.

Coman is still just 24 which means that he would also be a long-term signing for the club apart from being an immediate fix.
