Transfer News: Kamaldeen Sulamana primed for Manchester United transfer after latest talks
A report by Football Insider claims that Manchester United are in the front seat to complete a transfer for highly-rated FC Nordsjaelland forward, Kamaldeen Sulemana.
It was revealed a few days back that the United delegation would fly out to Denmark in order to hold talks. The discussions have now taken place and United are confident of landing the Ghanaian.
Ajax are also interested in Sulemana, but United are willing to trump the Dutch club’s £12million package in order to meet the player’s £15million valuation. And this makes the Red Devils favourites to sign him.
The 19-year-old, who joined the Danish side in February 2020, has 10 goals and 7 assists this season for them. There are, however, some hurdles in United’s way if they want to sign the player.
Sulemana to United?
As of now, he does not meet the criteria to get a work permit in post-Brexit Britain. But he could attain that if he makes an appearance for Ghana on June 8th in an international friendly, or if Denmark climbs one place in the UEFA coefficient for associations. (h/t Football Insider)
Ajax’s interest is also serious, with the report stating that Ajax Director of Football, Marc Overmars, was personally in the stadium to watch Sulemana last week. United lost out to Ajax last year when they snatched Mohammed Kudus, but they would now want to avoid a repeat of that.
Sulemana is a very exciting prospect and can play on either wings and even down the middle in the frontline. But United already have Amad Diallo as an exciting winger coming through their ranks.

However, if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can figure out a way to make sure neither player’s developmental curve is affected by this transfer, then it looks like a bargain for United if the deal can be concluded on the aforementioned financial terms.
