Fabrizio Romano reveals the latest regarding Manchester United target Max Aarons
According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, there are new developments regarding Manchester United target Max Aarons.
The Norwich City full-back is one of the best young players in the Championship. He played a key role for the Canaries, who have been promoted to the Premier League.
He also happens to be one of the players on United’s radar. The Red Devils are keen to bring in a backup for Aaron Wan-Bissaka heading into next season.
It was revealed earlier last month that Premier League rivals Everton were in advanced negotiations to sign the player. Romano has now stated that the Toffees are now looking at other players.
Whether this gives United the advantage when it comes to signing the 21-year-old remains to be seen. While Everton’s attention might be elsewhere, others clubs are entering the fray for the defender.
The Red Devils have developed well this season and are on course to finish second in the league and win the Europa League. Moreover, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also shown the willingness to give youth a chance.
Young but experienced
Aarons has proven himself to be a consistent performer in the second tier. Moreover, he already has the first-hand experience of playing in the Premier League.
He was one of the bright sparks in what was ultimately a disappointing 2019/20 Premier League campaign for the Canaries. With Everton’s focus wavering, United should do what they can to land the player.
