Manchester United have held talks with the Jadon Sancho camp ahead of a potential summer switch
According to 90min (h/t The Express), Manchester United have held talks with the representatives of Jadon Sancho ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have been long-term admirers of the Borussia Dortmund star. With the Germans facing a fight on their hands to qualify for next season’s Champions League, a move could be on the cards.
Having missed out on signing Sancho in 2017, 2019 and 2020, United hope it will be a fourth time lucky in their pursuit of the Englishman.
A major reason for United failing to land him last summer was Dortmund’s massive £100million asking price. A year on, the red Devils believe they can land him for half that amount.
The 21-year-old isn’t the only Dortmund player on our list. Star striker Erling Haaland is also being seen as a potential addition to aid our striker woes.
Sancho is but among a number of players United are keen on this summer. Bringing in the right additions would ensure we build upon the promise we have shown this campaign.
A familiar rival!
United could see themselves face off against Liverpool in the race for Sancho. The Merseysiders have kept tabs on the 21-year-old with Jurgen Klopp a big fan.
However, Liverpool could only make a move for the player if superstar Mohamed Salah leaves the club in the summer. They too are in need of a summer rebuild and it remains to be seen what they choose to do.
