West Ham not keen to sell Declan Rice amidst Manchester United interest

According to Football.london, West Ham United are in no mood to sell Declan Rice despite the player being increasingly linked to Manchester United.

The 22-year-old is one of England’s brightest young talents and has been largely instrumental in West Ham’s bid for a top-four finish this season.

The Hammers star is valued at close to £100m. The Red Devils hope to drive down the asking price by offering Jesse Lingard as a makeweight. (h/t The Metro)

The Hammers are yet to receive an offer for their prized player. According to the report, they will not entertain enquiries not just from United but any other club as well.

The player for his part appears keen on a move to Old Trafford. He made use of his time with the England squad to chat with both Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire on life at United.

A versatile talent!

United are attracted to Rice’s versatility. A defensive midfielder, he is also capable of playing at centre-back and as a holding midfielder. United scouts believe he could even develop into a box-to-box player in the future.
