Manchester United star Fred keen to help the team win many titles
Speaking to ESPN Brasil, Manchester United star Fred has opened up on his ambitions while at the club.
The 27-year-old has been at the club since 2018. After a rocky start, he has now firmly established himself as a first-team regular under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Brazilian has formed a formidable partnership with Scott McTominay in midfield. Solskjaer’s trust in the pair has seen them start key games against the best opposition.
Fred admits the current campaign has been his best at the club. It wasn’t an easy journey, but the midfielder finally has a coach who believes in him and knows to get the best out of him in red.
“I think this season is definitely being my best. I’m having more games, playing with the coach’s confidence, with the confidence up there.”
Fred’s development has coincided with that of United under Solskjaer. While the Red Devils have evolved as a team, they are yet to win any trophies since the player joined the club. The 27-year-old is keen to change that.
“I hope to continue doing a great job here, keep playing a lot, and I want to help the team win many titles.”
A teammate and a fan
Fred also opened up on midfield maestro Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese sensation has been the club’s de facto star since joining the club last year.
The Brazilian praised Fernandes’ mentality to accept nothing short of a win. He has often dragged us home single-handedly in games and hasn’t been shy to show his frustration when those around him mess up.
Hopefully, both players will celebrate winning titles at Old Trafford. Given all the effort they have put in, they deserve just that.
