Everton and Bayern Munich in the fray for Manchester United target Max Aarons
According to the reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Manchester United have a fight on their hands to land Max Aarons as Everton and Bayern Munich have joined the race.
The 21-year-old is a regular for Championship leaders Norwich City. Aarons was part of the Canaries side that got relegated from the Premier League in 2020.
Despite his side’s struggles, the youngster stood out and was one of Daniel Farke’s side’s brightest sparks. It appears to be just a matter of time before he moves onto bigger and better things.
Both Everton and Bayern Munich are keen on Aarons. Carlo Ancelotti is seeking a new right-back while the European champions have already opened talks with the player.
While United have scouted the player in the past. It is unknown if we have made any concrete approach for his services.
At this stage, it does not appear as if any team holds the advantage when it comes to securing Aarons. Romano believes the race for the player will be long and given his potential, it is to be expected.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bring in competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back. The Englishman is solid defensively but seems lacking when it comes to attacking contribution.
United believe that bringing in competition will help Wan- Bissaka improve his game. They have good reason to believe so given the growth Luke Shaw has shown since being put up against Alex Telles.

Aarons is not the only right-back on United’s radar. Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier is also seen as a viable acquisition heading into the summer.
The 30-year-old, who originally hails from Manchester, is vastly experienced and is excellent going forward and in taking set-pieces. Who we eventually decide to go for remains to be seen.
