Manchester United worried that Paul Pogba could be out injured for a further two weeks

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United star Paul Pogba could be set for a further two weeks on the sidelines as he continues to recover from a thigh injury.

The Frenchman limped off against Everton on February 6 and has not featured since. One of our in-form players, his absence has been noticeable.

It was expected that he would not be out for long. However, he appears to be out for another fortnight. This will rule him out of our Europa League tie against Real Sociedad and the Premier League clash against Newcastle United.

United star Paul Pogba a doubt for the Manchester derby

There is still hope that he could feature for either of the two games against Chelsea on February 28 or the Manchester derby a week later. Unfortunately, no definitive timescale has been given regarding his return.

With a chasm slowly opening up between United and City at the top, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be keen to have his main man back as soon as possible. United’s dropped points against Everton and West Brom both came in the midfielder’s absence.

Pogba was in good form of late

Pogba is currently in the penultimate year of his United contract. He will, however, delay any decision on his future until the summer.

The Frenchman has often blown hot and cold during his time at Old Trafford. The fact that the injury came during a purple patch makes it all the more annoying.

With still much to play for, United need their best players to step up. Of late we have been overly reliant on Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes. Hopefully, the others will also step up until Pogba is fit and ready to return.
