Edinson Cavani reveals FA Cup dream as Manchester United take on West Ham
Speaking to United Review (h/t MUFC official website), Edinson Cavani has admitted that he is feeling settled at Manchester United. He is eyeing cup glory as we take on West Ham in the FA Cup fifth round.
Cavani has been a hit since arriving at Old Trafford. He has scored 7 goals and 2 assists for us this season so far. The latest of his goals came in the 3-3 thriller vs Everton on Saturday.
The Uruguayan star spoke about adapting to a new league and environment. Cavani also explained what he thinks of the FA Cup and silverware in general.
He said,
“I always think that settling in and adapting to a different place, a new culture, different customs, is always difficult,”
“I haven’t had chance to read or study about this trophy [the FA Cup] with any great depth, but I believe that every cup or piece of silverware is always very important.“
I’ve always felt that way and that has always been my philosophy in life.”
Safe to say that Cavani’s mentality is the reason why he has been so successful in his career. He has won Coppa Italia with Napoli and an incredible 11 cups during his time at PSG, 15 including the Trophee des Champions.
The South American star has been a hit in every league he has played. Though he was out of the PSG side for a while when Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the talisman, Cavani fought for his future and eventually ended up as the French giants’ record goalscorer.

The FA Cup is a great trophy to win considering the history and the difficulty. Surely, winning this would serve as a springboard for more success under Solskjaer.
