Manchester United keeping tabs on Samuel Chukwueze
According to Spanish publication La Razon (h/t The Mirror), Manchester United are keeping tabs on Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze.
A January switch could see us go head to head against Liverpool for his signature. The two English giants are believed to be the favourites to land the Nigerian international.
Apart from the two clubs, Chukwueze has also attracted attention from a number of other Premier League sides. These include Leicester City, Chelsea, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton.
A move for the 21-year-old will not be cheap. According to the report, he has a buyout clause worth €80million.
The 21-year-old winger came through the ranks at the Diamond Academy in Nigeria before joining Villarreal in 2017. He made his first-team bow for the Yellow Submarine in 2018 and has racked up 90 appearances, scoring 13 goals and assisting 12 more. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Bringing in a right-winger was on the club’s agenda in the summer. However, our pursuit of Jadon Sancho came to nothing and the issue went unaddressed. (h/t Daily Mail)
The youngster models his game on Arjen Robben and was a part of the Nigerian squad that won the Under-17 World Cup in 2015 where he won the Bronze Boot. (h/t FIFA)
United missed out on signing the flying Dutchman before he moved to Chelsea. Hopefully, it won’t be the case when it comes to Chukwueze.

Chukwueze is a versatile attacker, who is equally capable on either flank and also behind the striker. However, he is also an unproven commodity despite his high potential.
Whether United are willing to risk meeting his release clause remains to be seen.
