Manchester United fans react as Edinson Cavani gets off the mark
After what has been a turbulent last week, Manchester United fans could smile again as the Red Devils’ defeated Everton 3-1 in the Premier League. And, new signing Edinson Cavani was on the scoresheet, to make the victory sweeter.
Manchester United’s No.7 came on as a substitute late in the game and opened his account, with a fine finish after being set up unselfishly by the brilliant Bruno Fernandes.
The veteran forward had arrived on a free transfer on the deadline day of the summer window, after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain had expired.
While he is yet to start a game for United, Cavani had showed glimpses of his quality in his cameos up until today. And now that he has had his first goal for the Red Devils, the fans can expect to see more of the same from the Uruguayan in the coming weeks.
Naturally, the fans were pleased to see the 33-year-old get off the mark in the fashion that he did. And here’s how the supporters celebrated the moment on social media.
