There is no place for new signing Alex Telles once again with the Brazilian having tested positive for coronavirus.
The left-back hasn’t trained since making his debut against PSG. Speaking about Telles to MUTV (h/t ManUtd.com), manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said:
“Alex needs to be negative on his next test, so let’s hope we can get him back as soon as possible.”
Apart from Telles, fellow deadline day arrival Facundo Pellistri has also been left behind in England. Eric Bailly and Phil Jones also miss out due to injuries. (h/t ManUtd.com)
Solskjaer had hoped to have Jesse Lingard back in the scheme of things for the game on Wednesday night. Speaking earlier in the day, the Norwegian had hinted that Lingard could be part of the travelling party to Turkey. (h/t ManUtd.com)
“Jesse has trained. He trained today [Monday]. We’ll see if there is any reaction. He might be able to travel to Istanbul but we’re not sure yet. It’s looking brighter.”
However, the England international hasn’t made the cut for the 24-man squad to Istanbul. (h/t ManUtd.com)
