Adama Traore is not a target for Manchester United

The Manchester Evening News reports that Adama Traore is not an option for Manchester United.

The Red Devils signed four players on the final day of the transfer window. However, we missed out on our top target, Jadon Sancho (h/t MEN).

Sancho is a former Manchester City youth player who has become a sensation at Borussia Dortmund. The Englishman is now a regular for the Bundesliga side and is doing wonders for the national side too.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to bring in a quality right-winger in the summer but Dortmund weren’t reducing their asking price (h/t MEN).

Some reports had suggested that Traore was a target for Manchester United and Manchester City. However, the MEN now claims that the Spanish winger isn’t a part of our plans.

Huge valuation set up by Wolves

Traore is one of the success stories for Wolverhampton Wanderers since their return to the top division.

The 24-year-old is built like a tank and has fantastic pace out wide. He has featured for Spain in recent months but is yet to open his account in the Premier League this season.

Traore had a great season last time around, with four goals and nine assists, and Wolves value him at £90million (h/t MEN).

That is a price deemed too steep for Juventus and Barcelona, according to the report. United sill see Sancho as a top target for the right-wing position and that means a move isn’t coming for Traore (h/t MEN).

While Traore would be a great option for the right wing, the stance taken by the club makes sense. If Sancho is the player we want, we should hold out and do everything we can to get him over.

A plan B doesn’t always work out for the club and Sancho is one of the best in his position. The Red Devils might have to pay a huge sum for the Englishman, but his quality could make our attack sharper.
