Alex Telles undergoes Manchester United medical
According to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano, Alex Telles has arrived at Carrington for his Manchester United medical.
The Brazilian will sign a deal that will run until 2025. The deal is imminent and should be confirmed later today.
Signing Telles will strengthen a key area in our defence. Luke Shaw has failed to fulfil his potential and has struggled to impose himself as a dominant force at the back.
Given his injury record and lack of pace, the flank has been an outlet for our opponents to exploit. It was observed even yesterday as he struggled to come to terms with Tottenham Hotspur’s pace and power.
In Telles, we will be getting a player who is a threat at both ends of the pitch.
According to Romano, the final deal is worth €15m with add ons. A key factor in the move was the player’s preference to move to United.
Telles was in the final year of his deal and could have left Porto on a free transfer next summer.
