Manchester United have been offered a chance to sign Ousmane Dembele for £60m

According to The Mirror, Barcelona have offered Ousmane Dembele to Manchester United in a cut-price deal.

The Red Devils can land the Frenchman for £60million, £35m less than what Barcelona paid for him just three years ago.

United were to bring in Borussia Dortmund sensation Jadon Sancho this summer. However, the player’s massive £108m asking price has proven to be an unsurmountable obstacle.

With a move for Sancho looking unlikely, the club are looking at alternatives. A World Cup winner with France, Dembele is an excellent player who can light up our wing play.

A major concern however is his injury record. In fact, Dembele has missed more matches for Barcelona than he has appeared in.

The Catalans too are keen to sell the Frenchman. New manager Ronald Koeman is keen to bring in Memphis Depay. He has recognized Dembele as a player who is expendable to raise funds.

According to the Daily Mail, neither Dembele nor Barcelona is interested in agreeing to a loan move to Old Trafford.

United remain interested in Sancho and could return for him next summer. If that is truly the case, bringing in Dembele could be seen as an unnecessary investment.

The Red Devils have also been linked to Luis Ocampos. The Sevilla star, valued at £35m, represents a cheaper option.
