Ole Gunnar Solskjaer informs Jadon Sancho that Manchester United move is close

According to the Norwegian outlet Dagbladet (h/t Metro), Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has assured Jadon Sancho that a move to Manchester United is close.

The Red Devils have been linked with the German sensation throughout the summer. However, negotiations with Borussia Dortmund have not yielded any positive results.

The Germans are adamant that their asking price of £108million be met in order to sell the player.

The transfer fee appears to be the only thing holding back the key transfer. It was reported earlier that the player had already agreed to personal terms with United.

A failure to reach an agreement this summer could see us lose out best opportunity to land him. Waiting until next summer could see the likes of Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Barcelona enter the fray. (h/t The Sun)

According to the report, Solskajer continues to be in contact with the player and keeps him up to date on the progress.

With the summer window set to close on October 5, time is running out for United to make their move. As yet, Donny van de Beek remains the only player the club has signed for the first-team this summer.

Rivals around us have strengthened while United have largely had a frustrating window. Unless we do something about it, the lack of strength in depth could come to haunt us this season.
