Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opens up on Borussia Dortmund’s stance on Jadon Sancho

According to the Express, Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given his two cents on Borussia Dortmund’s stance on Jadon Sancho.

The 20-year-old has emerged as United’s top transfer priority this summer. However, Dortmund have insisted that the player will be staying and will not be permitted to make a move in this window.

This came after the August 10 deadline set by Dortmund passed by without United making an official offer.

Sancho was a part of the Dortmund squad that flew to Switzerland as the preparations for next season gather pace. The Germans also tweeted out a photo of the flying winger in what appeared to be a sly dig at United.

Speaking after the win against Copenhagen, Solskjaer remained coy on the transfer saga that now looks to stretch on.

“I can’t comment on other team’s players, I can’t do that.”

The Norwegian refused to be drawn out into voicing what he really thinks. Although it shows his professionalism as a manager, it is also notable to observe that he did not deny that the deal is off.

Need to make haste!

Adding a right-winger is a priority for United this summer. There are few players in that position better than Sancho. Given his young age and seemingly limitless potential, he is an ideal long-term candidate for the club to sign.

At this moment in time, United appear to have a fee run at Sancho with a number of rivals lacking the finances to do so. It will be foolhardy for us to give them an opportunity to enter the race at a later stage.

With the start of next season just over a month away, it is imperative that United settle the saga once and for all.
