Manchester United keen on Inter Milan star Milan Skriniar
According to FCInternews (h/t Daily Star), Manchester United are interested in Inter Milan star Milan Skriniar.
The Slovakian international joined Inter from Serie A rivals Sampdoria in the summer of 2017. He has since established himself as one of the best defenders in the league.
The 25-year-old is coming off a difficult season that has seen him fall down the pecking order at the San Siro. Inter are now ready to cash in on the defender. (h/t Football.london)
United are keen on RB Leipzig star Dayot Upamecano. The 21-year-old only recently signed an extension at the Red Bull Arena, which could make it difficult to sign him.
This has prompted United to seek information regarding Skriniar. The Red Devils are not the only team in the fray, with Tottenham Hotspur also interested.
Now led by former United boss Jose Mourinho, the Portuguese has rekindled an interest that he had during his time at Old Trafford. According to the report, Skriniar is not keen on moving to North London.
Unfortunately for us, he isn’t completely on board with a switch to United either. Skriniar is keen on staying put at Inter.
Despite signing Harry Maguire last summer, United still need another central defender. Victor Lindelof is inconsistent while Eric Bailly is injury-prone.
Skriniar, on the other hand, is a player who is experienced at the top level. A full international, he also has the experience of playing in the Champions League and the Europa League.
