Man Utd urge Angel Gomes to commit his future like Mason Greenwood
According to a report by Daily Express, Manchester United want Angel Gomes to commit his future to the club – just like teammate Mason Greenwood.
Gomes, whose current contract will expire at the end of the ongoing season, has been at the receiving end of numerous approaches made by United to get him to agree on fresh terms (h/t Daily Express).
However, all efforts have been in vain, despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s belief that the 19-year-old can be an asset in the future (h/t Daily Express).
The report adds that United have contacted Gomes’ representatives to convince him to extend his stay like Greenwood recently did. The 18-year-old put pen to paper on fresh terms that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2023.
In fact, as per Metro, United believe their offer of £25,000-a-week in wages is fair amidst transfer interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea.
Even Tahith Chong has signed a new contract and Daily Express claims that Solskjaer has expressed his wish of wanting Gomes to follow suit.

However, as things stand, there has been no headway despite ongoing negotiations. If we fail to tie him down to a new contract, we would risk losing him for nothing in the summer.
Let’s hope we succeed in getting Gomes to stay for the foreseeable future. Losing him would represent a big blow, considering his vast potential.
