Timo Werner names United as an interesting project
According to Manchester Evening News, RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has included Manchester United as one of his preferred destinations in the English Premier League.
The German ace has been linked with a summer move to England after enjoying a prolific season in Germany. Werner has scored 27 goals and 12 assists in 36 games so far.
He was at it once again as he provided an assist and had a goal ruled out in the 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Champions League.
Apart from United, the player has also named our biggest rivals Liverpool and Manchester City as his preferred destinations.
Liverpool could be the biggest threat to us as he has openly professed his admiration for Jurgen Klopp’s outfit. Speaking ahead of the Tottenham tie, Werner admitted that no decision has yet been taken regarding a summer move.
Werner believes that he will fit in well at an established side such as Liverpool, Manchester City or a club in the midst of a rebuild such as United. He has also refused to rule out staying at Leipzig.
“The other side are teams which need some big changes, because they just won a few big titles, but they are not able to compete on the highest level anymore. For me Manchester United is one of these teams.
