According to The Telegraph (h/t Metro), Manchester United has enlisted the help of club legend Sir Alex Ferguson to convince 16-year-old wonderkid Jude Bellingham that he would be better served to make the move to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are keen to beat off a plethora of the clubs to the Birmingham City youngster. Billingham has drawn attention from the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City.

Ferguson isn’t a regular visitor at the training ground anymore. The club felt that his presence would be a gamechanger for Bellingham and his parents.

The youngster was also given a tour of the Carrington training ground after United were given permission to talk to the player.

The Red Devils were keen on a deal in January. Birmingham refused to do so and look like they are ready to cash in on their prized asset. According to the report, the Blues are believed to have accepted an offer from Borussia Dortmund for the player.

The decision, however, rests with the player and his parents. They were pictured leaving Carrington following talks with Ed Woodward, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and Matt Judge.
