Bruno Fernandes looks back on his first month with Manchester United
According to a report by Sky Sports, Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has opened up on his first month at the club since joining in January.
After much speculation (h/t Sky Sports), United landed the Portuguese ace earlier this year in an initial £47m deal. And since then, he has proven to be a revelation for us.
Bruno’s creativity is something that United have been crying out for over the years. The goals have started flowing in since his integration to the squad and there has been no looking back.
Although the ongoing season has been temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak, United had registered an 11-game unbeaten streak – mainly due to his heroics.
The recent 5-0 drubbing of LASK in the Europa League gave him the ideal platform to be a driving force and that is exactly what he did. A natural leader, Bruno has contributed a lot to the club on the field and off it as well.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the 25-year-old stated that he didn’t think twice before joining United.
“I talked with Sporting, who had already had some discussions with Man United about my transfer and when they talk with me, I told them my first choice was Man United and it’s what I need for my career,” he explained.
Touching upon the run of good form since his arrival, the playmaker said,
“In the last month, we’ve had a lot of really good games and I think we can talk about a new start after Bruno, but it’s not about Bruno, it’s about the team.”
He also acknowledged that the support from the fans has been “really good” in his first month. Fernandes did not shy away from lavishing praises on boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, claiming that the Norwegian constantly pushes the team to strive for perfection.
