Manchester United agree on deal to sign Bruno Fernandes
Manchester United have agreed to sign Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon for an initial fee of £47million. (h/t BBC)

United are thin in the midfield after failing to replace Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini. The injuries to Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay have further highlighted the lack of cover in the position.
The Manchester outfit will pay add-ons of £4.2million – provided they secure Champions League qualification, with a further £4.2million that depends on the player’s participation.
Fernandes’ presence would add inventiveness and drive to a United midfield that lacks incisiveness going forward.
