Manchester United announced the signing of Alexis Sanchez on Monday evening in a swap deal with Arsenal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan move the other way. Sanchez has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Jose Mourinho‘s side, while Mkhitaryan has agreed on a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Gunners.

The Chilean will also take his beloved dogs to a new home (obviously) – and in case you didn’t know who they are – the two Labrador dogs are called Atom and Humber. The United’s new no.7 clearly adores them and continually posts videos and pictures of them on social media and even has an Instagram account for them.

Sanchez is currently living at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester and snapped himself relaxing with family members and his beloved pets. Such is his love for dogs that the Chilean forward even made reference to the duo in his first interview as a United player.

“Atom and Humber are my mates, my kids, the ones who are with me every day and who I spend time with,” he told MUTV (h/t Manchester Evening News).

“They see me when I get home tired and feeling a bit low, and they understand you and how you are every day.

“They are the ones who are there for you after a defeat, or a win, and they are always waiting for you with the same expression on their faces. It’s worth a lot that they understand you and just want to make you happy.”

Sanchez took to Instagram to share a snap of his dogs, Atom and Humber, wearing replicas of his United jersey. And this is how the fans reacted on Twitter.
