Is Manchester United’s Marquee Transfer Target Really Worth The Hype?

Media reports have been awash with news of Paul Pogba and Manchester United recently, supposedly we are ready to bid a record 120 million Euros for the Frenchman to Juventus, who got him for just 1 million back in 2012 from us. While that amount has raised quite a fee eyebrows, here are 3 reasons why I feel the hype with United’s marquee target is real:

Paul Pogba

1. His age

At just 23 years of age, Pogba is already one of Europe’s best central midfielders. He has outstanding ball skills, superlative technique and even scores a lot of goals( netted 12 times for The Old Lady in the last campaign). He is certain to improve as he gets older, and that would be a real blessing for us.

2. He is worth it

Having interacted, trained and played with the likes of Paul Scholes and Andrea Pirlo, Pogba is well-versed in the art of tackling and playmaking. He loves to control the game, pick passes and make those late runs into the box which would trouble any defence in the world.

3. It’s a good business deal

Even if Pogba comes at a record price, he will be worth every penny. With him in midfield, we are assured of pure quality and even if Real Madrid do come knocking for him after 2 or 3 seasons, we can not only recoup the amount we spend but also gain even more, if he continues his sensational form that has seen him pick up 4 Serie A and 2 Coppa Italia titles already.
