As per Mirror, the Toffees wants the British transfer record to be broken for Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker has generated massive interest from some high profile clubs that includes Manchester United in the recent months.
The Merseyside club publicly has announced that the player is not available for sale but as per the report they have a secret valuation for him as they realize that it will be difficult to keep him at the club next season. The worth? A whooping £65 million.
At the just 22 years of age Lukaku is Everton’s top scorer and has recently admitted in public that he wants to play Champions League football. Everton are believed to allow him to leave after he agreed to stay with them last season in order to push the team upward. Well if United does not want to break the bank for Lukaku maybe they can aim for John Stones rather since the Red Devils need a partner for Chris Smalling more urgently.
