As per Mirror, Real Madrid has asked suitors to keep £60m prepared if they want to take James Rodriguez in the summer. The player is currently being linked with several clubs after a disappointing season with Los Blancos.
The Colombian burst into the stage when he became one of the sensations of World Cup 2014 and made a big money move to Real Madrid from AS Monaco. At just 24 years he is an extremely bright prospect and several clubs would love to take him but Madrid’s asking amount has deterred a few suitors such as Juventus.
United and Chelsea are said to be favorites to sign the player given their financial muscle and both the clubs are looking for reinforcement in the summer. Manchester United still has an outsider’s chance of qualifying for Champions League but Chelsea are out of the picture which probably gives the Red Devils a better chance of signing James in the summer.
