It’s the big daddy of all rivalries in the land, it’s Liverpool versus Manchester United at Anfield — 18 League Titles and 5 European Cups on one hand against 20 League Titles and 3 European Cups on the other hand; two sets of fans who will do absolutely anything to see their teams win this one. The last time United faced the Merseysiders at their home ground, Juan Mata ran riot and Steven Gerrard was sent off as the Red Devils won 2-1. Ahead of this one though, both teams are far off from where they would want to be and are coming on the back of 3-3 draws.
Louis van Gaal’s side let 2-0 and 3-2 leads slip against Newcastle United earlier this week to ultimately draw in a six-goal thriller while Jurgen Klopp’s men showed their resilience to net a last-gasp equaliser against Arsenal24 hours later.With that in mind, the upcoming clash between the two famous foes could be an absolute humdinger, withUnited finally showing the kind of attacking intend their fans have been crying out for and Liverpool refusing to lay down now Klopp is at the helm.

In early team news, Liverpool are without Martin Skrtel, Dejan Lovren (doubt), Joe Gomez, Jon Flanagan, Philippe Coutinho, Danny Ings and Divock Origi, while Daniel Sturridge has only a 25 % chance of recovering from a hamstring injury.
As for United, they must do without Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Nick Powell while Phil Jones has a good chance of recovering from a foot problem.

PREDICTION:
Liverpool experienced all sorts of problems at the back in the 3-3 draw with Arsenal and seeing that Manchester United struggled in the game against Newcastle United as well, I do not believe that the two teams are capable of keeping a clean sheet in Sunday’s Premier League derby. Both teams desperately need a win and I would not be surprised if we see a high-scoring affair at Anfield.
However, I want a United win please, we want the bragging rights with us forever!
