Edison Cavani, the Uruguayan striker is currently playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and apparently he has warned Paris Saint-Germain that it will be either him or Zlatan to stay back in the summer.
Now this news probably has United officials up and all charged up because one summer ago United tried to sign the striker. Then Louis Van Gaal arrived and decided that instead of bringing in forwards let’s thin out the crowd and reshuffle the squad.
With United not being able to score enough goals and Wayne Rooney gasping for form the burden of goal scoring now lies solely on Anthony Martial’s shoulders. The 19 year old is a promising player but probably the pressure is a little too much for him at the moment. To ease his burden United are said to be preparing a bid for Cavani who is said to be worth £50m. Though spending that amount of money for a 29 year old seems like a bad idea, a desperate United may be forced to do so.
