Manchester United could enjoy a big fundraising bid for Antony from Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr during this summer window

Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr want Manchester United star Antony this summer, providing the potential boost of transfer funds. The Red Devils are working on multiple transfer deals to bolster their squad before the new season commences this month.

Man United have already signed Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro for a high price that took a big financial chunk. Selling fringe players is a daunting but important task for the Red Devils as it improves their finances, reducing wages.

Unfortunately, many fringe players are happy to stay due to the astronomical wages that they are earning at the club. The situation brings back the discussion about the player power in these circumstances but United need actions more than debates.

According to Fichajes, Al-Nassr wants Antony to bolster their squad with more attacking power alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane. The Saudi club has failed to win important trophies despite the star power they contain and need to strengthen further.

Antony joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2022 when manager Erik ten Hag joined the club from Ajax. United signed Antony for £86 million which turned many people’s heads as the Brazilian lacked the reputation that the price tag demanded.

While Antony started his career well, his performances drastically dropped and last season his struggles multiplied with off-field controversies. The 24-year-old made 38 appearances in all competitions last season for United, contributing with only three goals and two assists.
