Man United target would prefer a move to the Premier League despite interest from PSG
90 min understands that £42m Manchester United target, Benjamin Sesko’s most likely destination for next season will be the Premier League. The 20-year-old forward has been making a lot of heads turn with his form for RB Leipzig.
In 36 appearances across all competitions, Sesko has scored 12 goals while also providing two assists. A lot of clubs are willing to bet on the potential of Sesko and Paris Saint-Germain have been particularly interested.
The French side have to deal with the imminent departure of Kylian Mbappe and have been looking towards younger players. PSG’s focused pursuit might come to nothing since the 20-year-old will likely avoid the pressure of being a replacement for Mbappe.
Though Sesko would prefer a move to the Premier League that doesn’t automatically make things better for Man United. The Red Devils have Chelsea to deal with who are in desperate need of someone that can score.
Even though the 20-year-old is an unproven option, the Blues will more than likely be able to afford him. Moreover, the team is already struggling so taking a small risk won’t mess things up a whole lot.
Over at Old Trafford, Sesko might not be a good fit. The Slovenian will have to play second fiddle to Rasmus Hojlund who has just recently found his footing in the PL. Since the move can harm the development of both players, it would serve well for the Red Devils to avoid signing Sesko.
