Manchester United star, Alejandro Garnacho has matched Michael Owens’ stellar achievement from 1998 after his performance against Chelsea
Manchester United have Alejandro Garnacho to thank for their comeback last night. However, his masterclass would’ve been appreciated a little more if the Red Devils had been able to hold on to their lead.
Despite the loss, the 19-year-old matches Micheal Owens’ remarkable feat from the 1998/99 season. Garnacho became the only teenager along with Owens to score two or more goals in three Premier League games in a single season.
The Argentine has now made 40 appearances for the team, recording a total of nine goals and four assists. The 19-year-old has perhaps been the most consistent player for Erik ten Hag this season.
He might not score every game but he makes an impact. Garnacho constantly tries to dribble past defenders and often fails, but once his pace and technique pick up, the Argentine will be a force to be reckoned with.
The Red Devils have some very interesting youngsters on their hands. They might not be able to achieve anything this season, but the emergence of these young stars has been huge for the team.
Garnacho will hold down the wings for a long time to come. Kobbie Mainoo has already started to look like one of the best midfielders in the league. Finally, Rasmus Hojlund has also been impressive even though he has been a bit cold as of late.

Erik ten Hag might not leave a lot of trophies behind for Old Trafford. However, if the Dutchman gets axed, he will always be remembered as the manager who gave a shot to Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.
