Manchester United part-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has shared his thoughts on the race for the Premier League title this season.
Manchester United part-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe had a lot to say during his appearance on the Geraint Thomas Cycling Club Podcast. He touched on subjects like Manchester United’s future plans and strategy for upcoming transfers.
He also touched on the Premier League title this season. The INEOS chief gave his pick for the race but not without berating them first. Let’s have a look at what he had to say. (h/t Football.London)
“I hate them all. We’ve got Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal. I don’t know, they’re all the enemy. I couldn’t possibly choose,”
“It’d be good for Arteta, actually, I think it would be good for him because he’s done really well there [Arsenal]”
When will Manchester United contest for the Premier League?
The race for the Premier League title could go down to the wire and fans are extremely excited. Arsenal are currently in first place they’re only ahead of Liverpool because of +7 GD. Man City are in third place with one point separating them from the top.
Meanwhile, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his Manchester United are currently in sixth place. The Red Devils can’t win the Premier League, the most they can do is make the UCL which also seems tough at the moment.
The arrival of INEOS has the fans hoping that their team will be able to contest next season. However, Manchester United will need to make all the right moves this off-season to pull that off. The team needs some serious reinforcements.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s priority this summer will be to make improvements at every level of the squad. The development of Rasmus Hojlund and Kobbie Mainoo could also play a big part in the road ahead.
