“Manchester City will beat you”- Sour Jamie Carragher’s message to Manchester United after late FA Cup win vs Liverpool

Jamie Carragher reminds Man United of Man City after they beat Liverpool to advance in the FA Cup

The performance put up by Manchester United to overcome Liverpool in the FA Cup was probably the best game that the team has played this season. A seven-goal thriller ended with the Red Devils advancing to the Semi-Finals.

Now the Old Trafford team have overcome a huge obstacle to beat the Reds. However, the road ahead is long and challenging. Up next the team will be facing Coventry City and beating them means Erik ten Hag will get to play the FA Cup final.

However, as we said the road ahead is challenging. Jamie Carragher is aware of this and very sourly delivered a message to the Manchester United fans, following their win over Liverpool. the former Liverpool man is confident and says that Man City will beat the Red Devils.

He made his comment while replying to an X post by United legend, Rio Ferdinand. He also mentioned that Erik ten Hag will still be at the helm next season so it isn’t much of a win.

However, if the Dutchman wins the FA Cup he will win his third trophy in just two years. No other manager after Sir Alex Ferguson has reached that stage. The closest was Jose Mourinho back when he was at the helm.

But, before we start dreaming about that we should be paying heed to Carragher’s comments. Man City are an extremely tough team to beat and could easily end United’s FA Cup journey. The Red Devils had no answer for the Blues when they fell 3-1 to them in March.
