Manchester United could ship out Jadon Sancho in exchange for an exciting forward.
Manchester United loanee, Jadon Sancho has had a fruitful time in Germany. The English forward joined his former club, Borussia Dortmund for the second time this January. In eight Bundesliga appearances, the 23-year-old has recorded two assists and one goal.
The German side would love to hold on to Sancho. However, they lack the financial means to do so. The Red Devils paid £73m for the winger back in 2021. So, they’ll likely want to get a sum similar to that if they look to sell him.
Fortunately, an alternate path has opened up for Dortmund. As reported by Spanish publication Fichajes, both sides could work out a swap deal for Donyell Malen and Jadon Sancho.
In 31 appearances across all competitions, Manlen has recorded 13 goals and four assists. The 25-year-old is a solid forward and Man United requires someone like him for their attacking line.
The team might want to retain Sancho. However, that could prove to be difficult if Erik ten Hag remains as Manchester United’s manager. The Dutchman and the English winger don’t really see eye to eye.
So a swap surrounding the two would be the perfect way for both teams to gain a quality player. After trading for Malen, Dortmund could also try and acquire Sancho permanently. One less year on his contract would also make the sale more feasible for the team.
