Sir Jim Ratcliffe is sold on Kobbie Mainoo and one of his fellow Manchester United starlets says Romano.
Manchester United might not be having the best of seasons but Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho could be their silver lining. The emergence of these two youngsters has the people excited.
According to Fabrizio Romano, even Sir Jim Ratcliffe is a big fan of the two and has big plans for them. 19-year-old Garnacho and 18-year-old Garnacho have shown moments of brilliance during this season.
The English midfielder has a real sense of how to shield his defensive line from the opposing attack. Moreover, his dribbling is second to none and was on full display when Mainoo scored a last-minute winner against Wolves.
Alejandro Garnacho on the other hand is an excellent forward. It was his brace against Aston Villa that allowed the team to start their comeback in March. Moreover, the Argentine won two penalties during his last outing to lead his team to the win.
While the adults have failed to perform, the academy starlets have stepped up. Erik ten Hag has mentioned that Manchester United is a project at the moment and is progressing well.
It seems like Garnacho and Mainoo will be headlining this project as Sir Jim Ratcliffe sees huge potential in them. But, there is a lot of season still left to play.
While there is no doubt that both of these young talents can grow to be superstars for United, the team’s situation needs them to perform right now.
