Manchester United starlet says it was a dream to hear the crowd cheer him on against Everton.

Alejandro Garnacho was the most important player for Manchester United during their game against Everton. The 19-year-old won two penalties which helped the Red Devils claim a 2-1 victory over the Toffees.

He was quite wasteful and could’ve added a couple of goals himself. But the team got the job done and more importantly, they were able to put up three points on the board. In 37 appearances, The Argentina national has recorded seven goals and three assists.

The game against Everton was special for the 19-year-old. Apart from the two penalties he won, Garnacho was also pleased about having his name chanted by the Old Trafford crowd. Here’s what he had to say. (h/t Manchester Evening News)

“It’s like a dream with my age. A full Old Trafford stadium chanting my name is incredible. I am very proud and happy.”

19-year-old Garnacho added that Erik ten Hag expects the team to play every single game like it’s a final. However, say what he might his players are still struggling to perform on the pitch. Especially the attacking line.

Garnacho was wasteful against Everton, Marcus Rashford scored a penalty but had little to no impact in the open play. Bruno Fernandes did well enough in the midfield, however Scott McTominay proved to be a better facilitator than him.

If his forward line doesn’t step up then the team might not even survive by the time Rasmus Hojlund returns.
