Lisandro Martinez is the most difficult player to face in training says Manchester United star

Manchester United defender, Lisandro Martinez has been unlucky with injuries this season. He missed a major part of the first half due to an injury and returned during the second after his rehab ended.

The team was playing well upon his return but he quickly picked up another injury in just his fourth game back. The Argentina national is known as the Butcher for his aggressive style of play.

It seems like his aggressiveness extends to training as well. Amad Diallo confirmed this as he spoke on the player’s intensity in training. Let’s have a look at what the young Man United starlet had to say. (h/t The Mirror)

“Licha [is the most difficult player to face in training]. He’s very strong in the training. For him, the training is like the Champions League final. He never trains easy, he goes stronger, so it’s harder to train against him.”

Well from Amad’s words, it is clear to see that Martinez gives everything he has while he’s training. A World Cup champion like the Argentine has a level to maintain and he does well to do so.

It is also refreshing to hear that someone on the Manchester United team has a competitive spirit in them. We often see the Red Devils look lifeless on the pitch when they’re behind. It is times like that when a team needs players like Martinez.

Lisandro Martinez is Manchester United’s most important defender.

Hopefully, the Red Devil will be returning soon, because Erik ten Hag could use some of his tenacity at the moment.

Even though his injury looked serious the Argentine assured the fans that he would be making a quick recovery. We can only hope that we get to see him in action before the season ends.
