Manchester United are leading the race to sign Serie A striker but Paris Saint-Germain could be a problem

As reported by Independent, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are both in the running to sign Serie A striker, Victor Osimhen. In 22 appearances, the Nigerian has recorded 13 goals and four assists through all competitions.

The Red Devils aren’t even the only team being linked to Osimhen. Chelsea and Newcastle United are also said to be interested. However, Man United are currently in the lead to sign the 25-year-old but Paris Saint-Germain could be a threat.

They are the best team in Ligue 1 and will be playing in the UCL next season. The same cannot be said about the Red Devils who are currently not on pace to qualify for UCL. This could alter the 25-year-old’s position.

Osimhen is enjoying UCL even while he plays for Napoli. Moving to Manchester United who are currently in the middle of a ‘rebuild’ might not be the best idea. PSG on the other hand have one of the best squads in the club.

They will be losing Kylian Mbappe at the end of the season. But, the folks over in Paris have always been quick to sign big players and a capable replacement will be found in due time.

In fact, if they try and sell Osimhen as Mbappe’s replacement it could change the Nigerian’s career overnight. So like we said, Manchester United may be in the lead to sign Osimhen but it could all change overnight.
