Man City recorded an incredible milestone en route to their 3-1 victory over Manchester United
Manchester United will once again have to go back to the drawing board as Pep Guardiola and his Man City team swept the goal with them last night. The Red Devils held on to a 1-0 lead during the first half.
However, their joy did not last long as Man City came back during the second half and came away with a 3-1 victory over their bitter rivals. The three points that the Blues stole from United could jeopardise their chances of playing in UCL next season.
There was plenty of quality on the pitch to talk about last night. However, it was the incredible derby milestone recorded by Man City that has been making the rounds on X this morning.
Yesterday marked the first time in over 144 games that the Red Devils dropped a game despite being in the lead at halftime. It seems like poetic justice that their local rivals Man City were the ones to end this incredible run.
That’s not all that Pep Guardiola and his men ended last night. The three points that United gave up will surely hurt as they try to claim a spot in the top four of the Premier League.
Moreover, this was their second loss this week so Erik ten Hag and his men are now 11 points behind Aston Villa who hold the fourth spot. As the UCL starts to slip away the Dutchman must make preparations for the FA Cup.
