Manchester United could be shorthanded for the Manchester derby as star player was spotted limping the Nottingham Forest game.
Manchester United somehow pulled through during their FA Cup clash against Nottingham Forest. It was a close affair from start to finish and both teams were letting it fly at each other’s goals. However, Casemiro proved to be the point of difference as he helped his team pull ahead in the 89th minute.
A cross from Bruno Fernandes set the Brazilian up perfectly for the winning goal. However, Erik ten Hag might now have a new issue to deal with. A clip of the team’s skipper has been making the rounds on X.
After the game concluded, Fernandes was spotted limping away from the stadium. This has ignited a lot of talk suggesting that the United’s skipper could have picked up an injury.
With the Manchester derby right on the Dutchman’s head, he surely cannot afford another injury at the moment. The Red Devils are already short-handed and losing Fernandes might as well put them out of contention.
However, fans aren’t too worried at the moment since the Portuguese midfielder has not missed a single game through injury during his time at Old Trafford. Moreover, he did walk off on his own which is a very good sign.
It is possible that Fernandes was tired and a little beat up which would explain his limp. Hopefully, the skipper will be ready by March 3rd because Guardiola and his men will not be showing any mercy to Ten Hag’s team.
