From the looks of it, Manchester United are already preparing to move on from Erik ten Hag and a Real Madrid legend could replace the Dutchman. The situation surrounding Ten Hag’s future is developing really fast.

He might get to stay at the helm of United if he qualifies for the UCL and wins the FA Cup this season. However, without these two achievements under his belt, the Dutchman’s time at Old Trafford could be all but over.

According to French publication Foot Mercato (h/t Manchester Evening News), Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team are big admirers of Zinedine Zidane. It is believed that INEOS will try and go after the former French superstar if Erik ten Hag gets the boot.

Zidane’s achievements as both a coach and a player are legendary. He is often regarded as one of the best playmakers of his generation. Many also say that Zizou is an absolute genius when it comes to football tactics.

During his time at the helm of Madrid, the French manager led them to three straight Champions League trophies. This tells the people all they need to know about his footballing excellence.

There has been some talk of potential replacements for Ten Hag and Zidane currently leads the list with Roberto De Zerbi being a close second. It seems like INEOS wants only the best for Old Trafford.
