Former England striker, Alan Shearer was very unhappy with a Manchester United forward during their game against Nottingham Forest. For once this season it seemed like the Red Devils were giving it their all.

Moreover, a positive showing by Antony was a welcome sight for the fans who have been waiting for him to produce. While the entire team was playing their heart out and trying to get a win, there was one player on the pitch who left a lot to be desired.

Marcus Rashford looked out of his comfort zone and did next to nothing to trouble the Nottingham defensive line. Shearer quickly took notice and put the Manchester-born star on blast while speaking on the panel of BBC. Let’s have a look at what he had to say. (h/t Manchester Evening News)

“I don’t like his body language at times. Trying to send a message out to the fans, it’s not my fault.

“You as an individual have to take responsibility every now and again for your actions on the pitch. Get up and get on with it.”

It wasn’t just Rashford’s form against Nottingham, it’s his form as a whole that has troubled the team. In 32 appearances, the English winger has recorded five goals and six assists for his team.

A major downgrade from the 30 goals he scored last season. While stats will always keep fluctuating it is Rashford’s body language that has Alan Shearer and a lot of the fans concerned.

The 26-year-old often tries to do too much and doesn’t even seem unfazed when he fails and gives possession away. Not a good look for a player, who is supposed to be a leader at Old Trafford.
