Manchester United have touched yet another unwanted record following their loss against Fulham
Manchester United’s inconsistency was on full display during their game against Fulham. The team was enjoying their rich vein of form during the second half of the season. However, their recent loss has now jeopardised their chances of a top-four finish.
This was a cursed affair from the beginning for the Red Devils. Their Premier League rivals took the lead during the second half thanks to a rocket produced by the feet of Calvin Bassey.
Harry Maguire equalised the score for United, but Fulham proved to be too much in the end as a 97th minute winner by Alex Iwobi sealed the deal on the game. Erik ten Hag failed to collect any points as he recorded his 10th Premier League loss of the season.
A new stat making the rounds on X reveals that this is the fifth time since Sir Alex Ferguson retired that Manchester United have lost 10+ Premier League games in a season. Truly an embarrassing record for such a huge club.
As things stand the Red Devils might not even stop at 10 losses. The loss of Rasmus Hojlund has already started to show its effect on the squad. After winning four straight games the team barely even managed to find the goal against Fulham.
Erik ten Hag might have to start packing his bags if the situation worsens over the coming weeks. Surely, this is not how INEOS wanted to start their reign at the club.
