Manchester United are expected to move on £34m rated Serie A midfielder
As reported by Italian publication Gazzeta (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United are now interested in signing 24-year-old Serie A midfielder, Ederson. The Brazilian is currently playing for Atalanta BC.
Rasmus Hojlund was also playing for the same club before the Red Devils swooped in and brought him over to the Premier League. Now, seeing how successful the Dane has been at Old Trafford, the team wants his former teammates as well.
Premier League rivals, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are also in the running to sign the Brazilian. The Red Devils will have to jump through a lot of hoops to get Ederson to put pen to paper.
In 30 appearances across all competitions this season, Ederson has recorded six goals and one assist for the Italian side. He is famous for his exceptional pace and dribbling ability. Moreover, the Brazilian excels at creating space for his team.
The Red Devils have been struggling to create a lot of chances through their middle line. The 24-year-old seems like the perfect player to remedy the situation for Erik ten Hag and his men.
However, United could face somewhat of a struggle since they have put Atalanta BC in a strong financial position. The Serie A side are under no pressure to sell Ederson because of the money they made through the sale of Rasmus Hojlund.
