Liverpool legend has named three starlets who can become the future of Man United
Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson has named three starlets who will ‘drive Manchester United forward’ in the future. The players in question are young Kobbie Mainoo, Rasmus Hojlund, and Alejandro Garnacho.
19-year-old Garnacho and 21-year-old Hojlund have already started to form a connection on the field. When these two players connect in the final third something positive ends up happening to United’s scoreline.
Kobbie Mainoo on the other hand has also started to show flashes of brilliance. He went through three defenders to score a banger against Wolves and helped the Red Devils put three points on the board. Moreover, he was also United’s POTM in January.
However, all three of these players have a lot to improve on before they become the shining light that guides Manchester United to the future. Hojlund needs a lot of work on his runs which will only come with more experience on the field.
Garnacho often turns over possession in the final third when he overestimates himself and tries to go through multiple defenders. Not every young star can be Lamine Yamal and it would do the Argentina national would do well to remember that.
As for Kobbie Mainoo, the 18-year-old needs to put in a lot of work into his body, before he becomes a strong defensive option. He has the skills and the vision to make an impact in the middle, but a bulkier body will bring some much-needed strength which will help him excel on defence as well.

Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson has not missed the mark with his Manchester United prediction. In a few years time these three players will start to realise their potential.
A fully developed, Hojlund and Garnacho linking up on offence, with a mature and physically strong Kobbie Mainoo running the defence and midfield will be a scary sight for most teams.
