Manchester United could lose their target from Barcelona to European giants
Manchester United are at risk of losing their chance with Barcelona target. According to Manchester Evening News, Bayern Munich are now in the running to sign Ronald Araujo and the European giants could end up doubling his salary.
However, it is yet to be seen whether the Catalan club will be ready to give up their skipper during the summer. The Uruguayan defender’s form has faltered this season, but that doesn’t discredit all the work that he has put in during his time with Barca.
Barcelona will also be losing Xavi Hernandez in the summer, it wouldn’t be wise for the Culers to give up so many of their leaders at once. However, the financial situation is desperate and the club will be looking to raise funds.
This leaves the Red Devils in a tough spot. Erik ten Hag has been showing interest in Araujo for a while now, so the emergence of Bayern Munich will come as a big blow to their transfer plans.
However, things shouldn’t be too bad as the team already has their eyes set on the Italian defender, Giorgio Scalvini. The Atalanta BC star is an exciting prospect and United will be lucky to get their hands on him.
If INEOS don’t start taking the initiative soon, Manchester United will lose more than just their Barcelona target. Most of the players on their summer transfer shortlist are being targeted by multiple clubs, if money becomes an issue they might lose out on a ton of these targets.

Hopefully, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has already planned. We can expect to see some finances being ejected into the club or some players being sold. If the management chooses the latter, Casemiro and Raphael Varane could end up being the first people to go.
